Constituyentes is a housing project that prioritizes the preservation of the original building, integrating a triangular prism as its main element, which acts as a structural and architectural buttress.
Location. Mexico City, Mexico
The Constituyentes project focuses on conserving, restoring, and revitalizing a listed house from the early 20th century. To complement and enhance this historic structure, a building is proposed that rises in a pyramid shape from the rear of the site, projecting over the original house.
This architectural solution optimizes the use of the land while framing and highlighting the heritage value of the existing structure. The inclination of the prism creates terraces that provide natural light, cross ventilation, and open views to the exterior, promoting a balance between historic preservation and contemporary design.
